Our new Braided Heat Shrink Tubing is made from woven Polyolefin material and has a fabric-like texture. These are designed primarily to provide outstanding mechanical abrasion protection for components such as rubber hoses, plastic pipes, wire harnesses, and also works great as grip handles for tools and such. May also be used for noise and rattle suppression.
Wall thickness: 0.6mm
Shrink ratio: 2:1
Operating Temp.: -40 to +125C (UL224 test method)
Abrasion resistance (200g load, 144,000 cycles): 23 degrees C by 168 hours, 158 degrees C by 168 hours (no damage to underlying test hose in both cases)
Low temp flexibility: -40C/ 4 hours, no cracking (ASTM D2671 test method)
Cold impact: 200g weight from 100mm at -40C, no cracking
Thermal shock: 100 cycles between -40C and 125C, no deterioration in abrasion resistance at 80C
Fluid resistance: 24 hours immersion at 23C, No deterioration in abrasion resistance at 80C

- Use a heat gun for best results, but a lighter or blowtorch will also work.
- Kindly read and understand the dimensions provided. We have included the diameter as well as the corresponding measurements when laid flat. Diameter is the measurement of a straight line passing through the center of a circle or sphere from one side to the next.
- A 2:1 shrink ratio means that it will reduce to 50% in size once heat is applied.
